Question:

Does Dr. Scherger have any experience or qualifications beyond the normal Doctoral studies?

Answer:

Dr. Scherger first began training people professionally in the late 1960's in one of the fitness industry's first commercial health clubs, the European Health Spas.

In 1986 he obtained a U.S. patent (the world's only) which was a method claim for training and treatment for the restoration and enhancement of the proper adult human S-shape spinal posture.

He has developed several different pieces of equipment and methods of training and treating the spine.  These includes robotic iso-kinetic, kinetic weight stack and durable medical devices for home training programs (which were also patented).

Our equipment began implementation in 1987 by prestigious sports programs including the New England Patriots Football team and the U.S. Olympic Sports Medicine and Research Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Our training and treatment supplies, as you see in our website were purchased from us and used by the New England Patriots Training Staff in 2002, their Super Bowl Season.

We have written the world's only mathematical course, based on lever system analysis, demonstrating the rationale for human spinal development in Earth's gravity and training and treatment of the human spine for the restoration, preservation and enhancement of the proper adult S-shape.

Our first course has gone through extensive peer review by the U.S. National Strength and Conditioning Association.  Our second course is currently in peer review.  The course (at this time the first one only) is certified for post-graduate accreditation for 2 CEUs or 20 contact hours.

Question:

What can I expect during my first office visit?

Answer:

The doctor will take a "blue print" of your spine using a series of dynamic X-rays.  A physical assessment including a spinal range of motion study.  With all of the above information, we then compare your spine to the proper adult S-shaped posture and explain what types of exercises (both at home and in our clinic) that can be done to help you restore the proper structure and thus function to your spine.

Question:

Are other services offered at your clinic?

Answer:

Yes, there is a Licensed Massage Practitioner on staff who is trained to augment our physical therapy protocols.

Knowing what proper spinal posture is, massage in addition to pain relief, is used to improve extensibility of tissue to help you get the proper healthy spinal structure you need to be well.
